Yesterday morning i was stepping off our front door step to get in my car and go to work, one of our neighbours was walking by, she normally says hello but that is it.
How the conversation went…..
N – Morning
Me – Morning
she keeps walking then stops and turns around
N – you’ve lost some weight
Me – (stuck for words) ermmm yes
N – Well I’d noticed you’d were still carrying your baby weight, I could see you’d not lost it when I’d last seen you!
Me – ermmm yes
N – well i always like to tell people if i can see they’ve lost weight, its difficult when you’ve had a baby to get back in shape
Me – Well were off on hols next week so thought it was about time i pulled my finger out and sorted it
N – How old is he now?
Me – 14months
N – so it taken a while…..
Me – (scowling) yes!
N – anyway I’ll let you get off to work
Me – BYE
N – BYE
What a back handed compliment and from someone i don’t even know, i was kinda speechless. How tactless but funny! Good job i am not easily offended, kept thinking about and giggling all day!

That is a weird way to give a compliment.
